BRUNNER, James E., age 73, of Centerville Ohio, passed away on June 27, 2013 at Hospice of Dayton with his family at his side. He was a native of Vandalia and graduated from Vandalia Butler High School in 1958. He attended General Motors Institute and graduated in 1963 with a Bachelors of Industrial Engineering degree.
He retired from Delco Products after 33 years in Sales and Marketing. After retirement, he worked at Village Cadillac and volunteered at Southview Hospital, the Centerville Police Department, the US Air Force Museum, Miami Valley South Hospital (also served on the MVH Volunteer Board), and the City of Centerville in various capacities, most recently on the Planning Commission, and was honored as the city’s Volunteer of the Year for 2011. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Ruth (nee Laub) and Charles. He is survived by his loving wife Carole and would have celebrated their 50th anniversary in October. Also survived by daughters Cynthia Folino (Greg) and Kim Keegan (Mike), and grandchildren Emily Folino-Williams (Matt), Megan Folino, Andy Folino, Jessica Folino, Christopher Keegan, and Thomas Keegan. The family will receive friends at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-FAR HILLS CHAPEL, 5471 Far Hills Ave. at Rahn Rd. Tuesday, July 2, 2013, from 5 to 8 pm.
