LEXINGTON - Connie Ruth Clinton Jumper, 55, wife of Pastor Ken Jumper, passed away peacefully in her home with family on Saturday, July 6, 2013, after a long illness. Family will receive guests at a viewing on Tuesday, July 9, 2013, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at The Harvest, 4865 Sunset Boulevard, Lexington, SC. A funeral service will be held at noon on Wednesday, July 10, 2013, at The Harvest with interment following in Southland Memorial Gardens, 700 West Dunbar Road, West Columbia, SC. Memorials may be sent to The Harvest in her name, and all donations will be distributed to missions or those in need. Arrangements are being handled by Caughman-Harman Funeral Home in Lexington Chapel.
She was born in Santa Cruz, CA, on July 26, 1957, to Dave and Janice Clinton of Bonneau, SC. She graduated in 1975 from Goose Creek High School where she was an active member of the marching band. She earned an associate’s degree from Anderson Junior College. While there, she met Ken Jumper, and they married on May 15, 1976. They served together in ministry and founded The Harvest in Lexington, SC, in 1989.
She is survived by her husband, Pastor Ken D. Jumper, Jr., of Lexington, SC; her daughters, Rebekah Boone and her husband, Andy, and Ruth Cannon and her husband, Brooks; her grandchildren, Abigail, Carter, and Kenley; her sisters, Joanne Edwards and Bonnie Duckworth; many nieces and nephews and her parents.
