He was born in Orange, MA on November 13, 1924, the son of Lowell G. and Irma A. (King) Aron. He grew up in the Keene area and was a Keene High School graduate.
After serving in the US Army from 1943 – 1945, he went on to graduate from the Thomas School of Agriculture (UNH).
Mr. Aron married Ruth Evelyn Beard on October 9, 1945 in Keene.
In 1952, he purchased land in Swanzey and started a wholesale chicken farm which housed over 5000 chickens. In addition, Mr. Aron worked for several other area businesses including Worcester Farm Diary, Idlenot Dairies and also the Minnewawa Label Co. in Marlborough. He worked at Monadnock Regional High School as custodian for several years before retiring in 1980.
In the 1960s, Mr. Aron and his wife purchased a piece of land in Chesham, NH on Chesham Lake. He built a boathouse, camped there, and did a lot of fishing. He especially loved bass fishing. He also liked to tie his own flies (and many for his own children).
After the kids grew up, Mr. and Mrs. Aron sold the lake property and bought an RV van. They enjoyed traveling to Michigan and to Georgia to visit with family. They also purchased an RV trailer and enjoyed many years at YankeeLand Campground in Kennebunk, Maine.
He loved watching and feeding birds, both at their Kennebunk, ME and Swanzey residences. Having several feeders, he knew all the birds by species and kept track of which ones had made their arrivals each year. He also enjoyed caring for plants both at his home and at their campground.
Mr. Aron was an Evangelical Christian, trusting Jesus as his Savior and Lord. Over the years he and his wife had been members of several fellowships and enjoyed witnessing to others of their faith.
He is survived by his four sons, Bruce L. Aron of Stone Mountian, GA; John E. Aron of Center Conway, NH, Charles W. Aron of Westminster, VT and David W. Aron of Swanzey, NH; his daughter Nancy A. Wright of Swanzey; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
