Vivian O. Adams, 89, died at home in Saulsbury, TN, July 26, 2013. She was a member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church in Memphis and attended Saulsbury Baptist Church. She was a retired teacher and assistant principal with Memphis City Schools. As a member of the aerospace education team at the University of Memphis she worked closely with FedEx, the FAA, National Guard and various airports in setting up aerospace workshops in the U.S., China and Russia. She was a member of the Civil Air Patrol, Delta Kappa Gamma Society International, TRTA, ACEI, and an alderman for the town of Saulsbury. Mrs. Adams leaves her only child, V. Elaine Hayeslip and son-in-law, Richard Hayeslip of Saulsbury; grandchildren, Rick Hayeslip, Shelly Bookwalter; great-grandchildren, Paige Hayeslip, Buck Hayeslip and Cross Bookwalter, all of Olive Branch, MS. The family will receive friends beginning at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 31, at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, Poplar Chapel, with the service to follow at 12 p.m. Burial will be in Springhill Methodist Church Cemetery in Koko, TN.
