Alice Mae Charlton, 67, of Fort Smith died Tuesday, July 30, 2013 in a local hospital. She was born February 13, 1946 in Hampton, IA, to the late Rudolph and Ida Mae Masiker. She was a retail manager. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Todd Charlton, and a great-granddaughter, Breanna Charlton.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Charlton of the home; two daughters, Elizabeth Stites and husband Bobby R. of Van Buren, and Tina Hall of Fayetteville, NC; three sons, Rick Charlton and wife Lisa of Van Buren, Chris Charlton and wife Shannon of Van Buren, and Guy Charlton and wife Carrie of Chickasaw, OK; nineteen grandchildren, and seventeen great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 2, 2013 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Chapel, with interment to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Fort Smith, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.
Pallbearers will be Rick Charlton, Chris Charlton, Joe Stone, Bobby Stites, Devon Charlton, and Zeke Charlton.
The family will visit with friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 1, 2013 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
