Frances M. (Saylor) Bell, 91, Kokomo, passed away Tuesday, August 6, 2013, at Kindred Transitional. She was born March 18, 1922, in Kokomo, to James Hobart and Rosella (Lightfoot) Saylor. On December 23, 1944, she married Calvin G. Bell, and he preceded her in death on October 23, 1995.
Frances, also known as Fran, retired from Delco Electronics Plant 8 on April 20, 1982. She was a member of UAW Local 292 and Bible Baptist Church on Dixon Road. She enjoyed embroidery and sewing and loved to just get out and go.
She is survived by one sister, Betty Lou (Saylor) Graf; one daughter, Roseann (King) Haley; four grandchildren, Shannon King, Cindy (King) Mulkey, Robert Bell, and Terry Bell; and four great-grandchildren, Olivia King, Gabrielle King, Tyler Mulkey, and Kaysie Mulkey.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Larry James Bell.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, August 8, 2013, at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Carmichael officiating. Entombment will take place in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery. Visiting hours will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
