Viola Arseniu, of Harrisburg, passed away Thursday, August 15, 2013 at Manor Care, Carlisle after a brief illness. Born in Altoona, PA; she was one of five daughters to immigrant parents from Greece.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Arseniu and her four sisters, Frances Charas, Ann Kollias, Evangeline Rosenbloom and Mary Dill.
She retired from the Carr Insurance Agency and a former employee at the former Hartman Motors. Viola was a member of the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral, Camp Hill, its Philoptochos and the Daughters of Penelope.
A very private person, she loved her family, and her church. Proud of her heritage she made sure her family knew much about it. Always up on current events, Viola read the N.Y. Daily News, N.Y. Post and the Patriot News, daily.
She is survived by her daughter, Leslie A. Wilsbach, husband, Steve, of Harrisburg; 3 grandchildren, Andrew S. Wilsbach, Christopher D. Wilsbach and Alexis K. Wilsbach. Viola is also survived by sisters and brothers-in-laws, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, August 24, 2013 in her church, 1000 Yverdon Drive, Camp Hill. Burial will be in the Paxtang Cemetery. A viewing will be held 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, August, 23, in the Neill Funeral Home, 3501 Derry St., Harrisburg; the Trisagion Service will be at 7:30 PM at the funeral home.
The family would like to thank the staff at Manor Care for their care, kindness and support during these last very difficult days.
