She was born November 6, 1935 in Waynesburg, the daughter of the late Joseph and
Carmina Guglielmo Osso.
She was a 1953 graduate of Waynesburg High School. Following graduation she was employed by the Opera House Theater and The Observer- Reporter in Waynesburg. In 1962 she moved to Pittsburgh, and was employed as an executive secretary by Reynolds Metals Corp., Dravo Corp., and Copperweld Corp. In 1972 she moved to Pompano, Florida, and was employed by Farber & Co., a developer of shopping malls, as Pompano Square Mall was being developed. Due to failing health she returned to Waynesburg in 1989. She had been a resident of Rolling Meadows Nursing Home for the past 7 years. She was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Waynesburg.
She is survived by a sister, Elaine O. Puglia, and her 3 sons, and their families: son Paul Puglia and wife Cynthia of Davidson, NC and their 2 children, Kathleen and Zachary; son Larry Puglia and wife Sandra of Lutherville, MD and their 2 Children, John and Elizabeth; son Joe Puglia and his wife Marijon of Birmingham, AL, and their 3 children, Frances, Joseph and Camilla. Also surviving is a brother, Herman Osso and his wife Jean of Waynesburg, and their 2 children: Jonathon Osso of Pittsburgh and Amy Julius and her husband, Christopher of Fairfax, VA, and daughter, Sophia.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, at Behm Funeral Homes Inc., 182 West High St., Waynesburg where a blessing service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 4, 2013 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church, 232 East High St., Waynesburg, with Rev. John M. Bauer celebrant. Private interment will be at St. Ann Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
