Rebecca Howard Ballardwent to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus ChristAugust 29, 2013. She was born June 16, 1946 in Greenville, MS to Roy Herman Howard and Jean Howard. Becky attended public school in Jackson and graduated from Provine High School.
Shortly after graduation she married the love of her life, Benton Ballard. Several years later Becky and Benton started their own business marketing electronic equipment cooling and power management systems as manufacturers representatives for Liebert Corporation. Together they ran a successful business for over 40 years.
Becky was an active member of Madison United Methodist Church, active in her Sunday School Class and Bible Study Group. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, an avid gardnerand loved to play tennis and spend time with her grandchildren.
Becky had a highly energetic personality that her friends and family found endearing. She will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her father, Roy Herman Howard and her husband of 45 years, Charles Benton Ballard. She is survived by her daughters Michelle Barker (Shane Miller), Renee Lewis (Walter) and Amy Surratt (Michael) grandson Mark Lewis, and granddaughters Molly Lewis, Cassidy and Cheyenne Barker. She is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law Clyde and Peggy Ballard.
Funeral services will be directed by Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 9:30am till 11:00am on Monday September 2, 2013 in the sanctuary of Madison United Methodist Church with the funeral services at 11:00am, with interment immediately following at the Highland Colony Parkway Cemetery.
