Curtis John Charrier, a resident of Baton Rouge, LA, went to be with The Lord on August 31, 2013 at the age of 90. Visitation will be at Greenoaks Funeral Home 9595 Florida Blvd.; on Monday September 2, 2013 from 6pm until 9pm with Rosary at 7pm. Visitation will continue on Tuesday September 3, 2013 at St. Louis King of France Catholic Church from 9am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11am. Interment to follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and brother who is survived by his wife of 67 years, Ethel, and four sons Micheal Sr., Craig, Curtis Jr. and Brian. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; Micheal Jr., Christy, Shannon, Rusty, Tara, Nicholas, Christopher, William, and Janelle; 14 great grandchildren, brother; Ellis Charrier two sisters; Dorothy Firmin, and Doris Jolibois. He was preceded in death by his parents Simon and Emma Charrier, three sisters, one brother, son; Keith Charrier Sr., grandson; Keith Charrier Jr., and a great grandson Jonathon Bordelon. Curtis honorably served his country in WWII, and was MIA and was a POW, he received the Bronze Star, Purple Heart and other awards. He loved fishing and playing with his grandchildren, and was a member and past grand knight of the Knights of the Columbus #3298,Monsignor Gassler 4th degree, and St. Louis King of France Catholic Church.
