A proud graduate of Immaculata and Cardinal Gibbons High School; and a decorated military veteran, Brennan will always be remembered for his loving heart, great smile and total dedication to his family, country and the United States Army. Brennan Kyle Conklin is, in every definition of the word, a hero.
Brennan is survived by his wife, Caitlin (Steigerwald) Conklin, and son, Chase Conklin, both of Raleigh, NC; mother Kyle Bartee of Durham, NC; father David Conklin of Durham, NC; brother Cameron Conklin and his wife Lauren, of Durham, NC; sisters Madison Conklin and Chapel Bartee of Durham, NC; maternal grandmother, Patricia Bartee; and Godparents Paul and Kristi Bartee Mann and their children. Also surviving are: Steve Steigerwald, Marirose Keyes Steigerwald, Sean Steigerwald, Marcy Steigerwald, and Bob and Mary Steigerwald. Also surviving are many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members and friends.
The family will receive guests at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 810 W. Chapel Hill St., Durham, on Friday, September 20, 2013 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM and a Memorial Mass of Resurrection will begin at 10:00 am, Friday, September 20, 2013.
A Private Cremation Service was previously held through Mitchell Funeral Home.
