Joseph Belobrajdic, 90, passed away September 16, 2013. A visitation will be held Monday, September 23 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home, 701 N. 94th St., KCK. Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 24 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment with Honors will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Luke’s Hospice, 3516 Summit St., Kansas City, MO 64111.
Joe was born in Kansas City, KS, where he spent the majority of his life. He was married to Margaret Robbins for over 50 years. Joe serviced in the United States Army and fought in World War II, receiving both a Bronze Star and a Purple Heart for his heroic service. Joe came home and worked for Kelly & Sons Roofing as a superintendent and retired in 1986 after years of hard work. Joe was a member of the Local 20 Union and received his 70 year pin.
Joe was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Belobrajdic and his granddaughter, Hillary Belobrajdic, his parents, Matthew, Sr. and Helen Belobrajdic, and his brother, Matthew Belobrajdic, Jr. He is survived by his son Daniel & Laird Belobrajdic, his daughter, Barbara & Craig Mitts, his sisters, Helen Hayes & Betty Schlup and his six grandchildren, Molly Hollingsworth, Adam Belobrajdic, Sarah Buff, Gabriel Belobrajdic, Jessica Hager and Mandie Morse and nineteen great-grandchildren, Reece, Tucker and Olivia Hollingsworth, Bailey, Marilynn and Ella Buff, Wyatt and Melody Belobrajdic, Eliza & Addie Kollross and Lane Morse, T.J. and Colton Hager, Emma, Lilley and Grace Lewis and Hayes and Gillian O’Brien.
