Robert Graves Standlee, 84, of Houston, Texas, died September 13, 2013. Born March 1, 1929, Bob passed away after a long battle with cancer. He was predeceased by his father, Dan Graves Standlee, his mother, Helen Rosser Standlee, and his sister, Marjorie Helen Standlee.
Bob graduated from Handley High School (Fort Worth) in 1947and received a BBA from the University of Texas in 1951. After serving in the US Army, he received his LL.B. from the University of Texas in 1958 and his CPA license in 1961. He was admitted to practice law in Texas and Louisiana. Bob worked in the Tax Department for Exxon Corporation until his retirement in 1986 as Senior Tax Counsel. During his 27 years of service, he also served as Chairman of Trans Alaska Pipeline Tax Committee and as a member and Chairman of several Tax committees of American Petroleum Institute, including the Windfall Profit Tax Committee. "Jolly Bob" will be greatly missed by his many friends.
Graveside service will be held at Shannon Rose Hill Cemetery in Forth Worth, Texas on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at 3:00 pm.
