Prentice Leon Crowe, 70, of Louisville went home to be with the Lord on October 3, 2013 at Norton Brownsboro Hospital. He was born on March 27, 1943 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Bedford Crowe and Bessie Marie Bowling. He was a Veteran who served in the United States Army and was retired from Navistar/ International Harvester. He was a founding member of Bicknell Baptist Church. He loved his family dearly.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Eliza Grace Crowe.
He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Betty Byrd Crowe; two children, Kim Heins (Dan) and Greg Crowe (Lori); grandchildren, Lauren Peak (Jeff), Andrew Heins (Kayla), Michael Crowe (Heather), Nathaniel Crowe, Noah Crowe and Abigail Crowe; a great-granddaughter, Addie Kate Heins; a sister, Janice Davis (Gary); and a brother, Phillip Crowe (Elizabeth)
A celebration of his life will be conducted Monday at 2pm at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be from 2-8 on Sunday and from 12-2 Monday at the funeral home.
