Louis I. Farber passed away on October 10, 2013 at the Jewish Home in New York.
Mr. Farber was born in 1925 and raised in Jersey City, NJ, by Abraham and Bessie Farber. Upon graduation from Dickinson H.S., he joined the US Army where he served his country during WWII with the Army Medics. Upon returning to the US, he attended Columbia University for his Bachelor degree, and then worked as a Financial Analyst for RCA, GE, and Allied Building Products before retiring in 1997. He has lived in Teaneck for the past forty years.
Mr. Farber was deeply devoted to his family. He was the beloved husband of Helene Farber (nee Sheveck), and loving father of Aram Farber. He was predeceased by his three older brothers.
Relatives and Friends are invited to a funeral service at 12 noon on Sunday, Oct. 13, 2013 at Gutterman and Musicant Jewish Funeral Directors, 402 Park Street, Hackensack, NJ. Interment to follow at Cedar Park Cemetery. Donations may be made in Mr. Farber’s name to The Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation (www.ccfa.org).
