Major General A. Harry Conrad, Jr. United States Army (Retired), born in New Orleans on 10/30/1929 died Sunday, October 20 at the age of 83, due to complications of CHF and renal failure. He was preceded in death by his parents Francis Carlin Conrad and Harry Conrad, Sr., daughters Karen Conrad, Debbie Rondem and sister Joan Begnaud.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Broussard Conrad of The Woodlands, TX., daughter Susan Winkler and husband Mark Winkler of The Woodlands, TX. , son-in-law Army Colonel Ronnie Rondem (retired) of Alpharetta, GA and brother Ronald Conrad of Houston, TX. Grandchildren are Kristen Romoff and husband David, Ryan Winkler , Kevin Winkler, Christopher Rondem and wife Katie. Great grandchildren are Savannah Pannell, Macey Romoff and Keegan Romoff.
Harry touched many lives. He was devoted and married to his wife Joyce for 62 years. His greatest enjoyments were LSU football and spending time with his family.
General Conrad graduated from LSU with a degree in Biochemistry and from the Univ. of Southwestern Louisiana with a degree in General Chemistry.

Visitation will be at the Forest Park Funeral Home, The Woodlands, TX on 10/25/2012 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. The funeral services on 10/26/2013 at 1 PM at the Forest Park Cemetery.
