A native of Pittsburgh, PA, he was born to the late Sam and Mary Brown on December 10, 1926.
Eddie was valedictorian of his high school, and went on to attend Carnegie Mellon University and the University of Florida, graduating with a degree in Pharmacy.
He was a longtime member of The Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd, a World War II veteran and a member of the Florida Pharmacy Association.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 65 years, Vera Mackoul Brown; son Charles Brown; brother Abraham “Brownie” Brown (Lu); brothers-in-law Albert Mackoul (Tiffie), Riley Mackoul (Maryann), Jerry Mackoul (Jeanne); sisters-in-law Madelaine Cosgrove, Bette Mackoul; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 31, from 6-8 PM at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home 729 S. Edgewood Ave, Jacksonville. Funeral mass will be 11 AM Friday, November 1 at The Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd 1100 Stockton St, Jacksonville, FL 32204, with burial to follow at Riverside Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Church of the Good Shepherd.
