Anniston - A 19 year
resident of Anniston, a
wonderful mother and
grandmother, Syble
Kimball passed away on
November 7, 2013. She
was 87.
She was born in Oklahoma,
but lived most of
her life in Texas and
California. Syble was an
accomplished artist of
portraits and landscapes.
She was an active member
of the Greenbrier
Church of Christ in Anniston
and loved volunteering
in the local
schools.
She is survived by Cathy
Benton (Ed), her
daughter, of Anniston;
Craig Leighton, her son
of Modesto, Calif., Ron
Rinker, of Norristown,
Pa., her son, three sisters,
one brother; seven
grandchildren and five
great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in
death by her mother,
Mattie Cox; her father,
Pearlie Cox; her daughter,
Cyndi Chowning;
her great-granddaughter,
Mikailyn Amore
Chowning; her sister,
Vera Root; her brother,
Weldon Cox, and her
husbands, Ron Leighton
and Jim Kimball.
Visitation will be Sunday,
November 10, 2013,
at Greenbrier Church of
Christ, Anniston at 5
p.m. with a Memorial
Service to follow, officiated
by her minister
Jim Harrington.
