Kenneth S. Cook, 92, of Lima, died the evening of Friday, December 13, 2013, at his residence. He was born July 22, 1921, in Auglaize County, to William C. and Blanch (McCord) Cook who preceded him in death. On January 20, 1945, he married Bonniebelle Wright who died on February 21, 2001.
Mr. Cook retired from Ford Motor Company, Lima Engine Plant. He previously was employed at Westinghouse. He was a graduate of Ohio Northern University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving in World War II. He was a member of the former United Church of God, Lima. He was a life member of the Lima Federation of Musicians, Local #320, in which he was a saxophone player in his own band
Mr. Cook is survived by a daughter: Lynne Shiveley of Lima; two granddaughters: Corinne (Todd) Lookabaugh and Breanne (Courtney Martin) Frank; and four grandchildren: Jacob, Julia, Kai and Rorylyn.
A son, Steve Cook, and four sisters preceded Mr. Cook in death.
Per Mr. Cook’s wishes, cremation was his choice of final disposition and he wanted no services.
