Reverend Harold Blaine, 75 of Muldrow, OK went home to be with his Lord Friday, January 24, 2014. He was born September 3, 1938 in Kansas City, MO and served his country as a US Marine for nine years and a Police Officer in Kansas City for 23 years. His true passion was for Jesus and he served proudly as Chaplain for the local Marine Corps League and American Legion. He also loved preaching and ministering to children in area churches. He was preceded in death by his father Alan Blaine, his mother Betty Blaine Birch, his step-father Harold Birch, and his son Harold Blaine, Jr.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Thursday, January 30, 2014 at Fentress Mortuary Chapel with burial and military honors to follow at the Ft. Smith National Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Fentress Mortuary.
Rev. Blaine is survived by his wife Dianne Blaine of the home, his daughter Pamela Blaine of Independence, MO, two step-sons Bill Heathcock of Klamath Falls, OR and Art Heathcock of Russellville, AR as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Joshua Heathcock, Art Heathcock, Cleveland Pugh, Russell Turner, Ron Kelley, and Jeremy Kelley. Honorary pallbearers will be the Marine Corp League of Sallisaw and the American Legion Post #339 of Roland.
Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at the funeral home.
