Arlene was born in Webster Springs, W.Va. on March 22, 1927 to parents Morgan and Leo Gregory. She was retired from General Electric in Ravenna after twelve years of service and had also spent time working at Oak Rubber Co. and the Ravenna Arsenal. Arlene was proud to be from West Virginia and made it known that she was a Mountaineer and NOT a hillbilly! She enjoyed embroidery and taking family vacations to Blackwater Falls, W. Va., but most of all she loved her family as they were everything to her.
Arlene is survived by her daughters: Becky (Chick) Dantone, Jane (Darrell) Cheuvront, Mary Ammerman and Cecilia Grice- Loving adopted daughter. Also surviving are her grandchildren: Jennifer (Rich) Smith, Carrie (Caley) Dantone-Schwartz, Brian Cheuvront, Melissa (Bud) Keener and three great-grandchildren. She also leaves her brother Homer Gregory and her sister Orva Armentrout.
Arlene was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Arlie L. Ammerman and her four brothers and three sisters.
Family will receive friends on Friday, February 14, 2014 at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM where funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 15th at 11:00 AM with Pastor Scott Hindel officiating. Interment will follow at Grandview Memorial Park.
