Nora was born January 11, 1920 at Orchardville, IL to William and Myrtle (Burkett) Scott. She married Gerome C. Henson October 11, 1937 at Princeton, IN.
She was a housewife and worked for fifteen years at the shoe factory in Flora and Salem. She also worked alongside her husband Gerome on the family farm for forty-eight years. Nora was famous for her coconut and chocolate cream pies. She attended the Orchardville Community Church.
Nora is survived by her husband Gerome Henson of Orchardville, IL, one daughter Jean Friedland of Rochelle, IL, and one sister Elsie McCormick of Xenia. Five grandchildren Sherry, Pam, Steve, Scott, and Barbara, thirteen great grandchildren, eleven great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews also survive.
Nora was preceded in death by one daughter Myrna Branson, one great grandchild Devon, one sister Eva Brown, one brother Cleotis Scott, her parents, and one great-great grandson Logan.
Funeral service for Nora B. Henson will be 10:30AM Monday, February 17, 2014 at Orchardville Community Church. Visitation will be 6-8pm Sunday, February 16, 2014 at Hosselton Funeral Home. Burial will be at Jacobs Chapel Cemetery.
Memorials may be given in memory of Nora to the Orchardville Fire Department or Orchardville Community Church and will be accepted at Hosselton Funeral Home.
