Mary Pichard Sellers, 98, of Tallahassee passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 Mary, a Tallahassee native, was the daughter of Claude A. Pichard, Sr. and Mary Cureton Pichard. She graduated from Leon High School and later attended Florida State College for Women where she was a member of The Tri Sigma Sorority.Mary was married to Calvin Collis Sellers for forty-nine years. They had four sons; Ernest Arthur (Norma) of Live Oak, Fl; Calvin Collis, Jr. (Betsy) and Claude Pichard (Linda) of Tallahassee, Fl; and John Franklin (Christy)of Marietta, Ga. Seven grandchildren: Bruce (Coleen), C.C. III (Rachel), Mary Katharine (Jonathan), Ernest, Jr. (Cheri), Royce, Claude "Chip", and Jack. Eleven great grandchildren: Miranda, Morgan, Austin, Lauren, Stephanie, Ryan, Spin, Warner, Calvin, Lawrence and Collin. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she is predeceased by three sisters, Nellie DeMilly, Betty (John) Barnett, Lou (Ralph) Causseaux and a brother Claude A. Pichard, Jr and his wife Viola Pichard. Mary was a Christian and life-time member of First Baptist Church. She was active in Sunday school, Women's Missionary Union and the First Joy Choir. Funeral Services will be on Sunday, February 23, 2014 at 2:00pm at First Baptist Church with a reception in the Church Reception Center. In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to make a contribution to a charity of your choice or the First Joy Choir, First Baptist Church.
