McKay, George A., age 80, of Beavercreek, passed away on Monday, February 24, 2014, at Soin Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his father, George W. McKay on July 13, 1995 and his mother, Maud "Summers" McKay on December 13, 2002. George is survived by his loving sister, Mary Lou McKay, of Beavercreek; his aunt, Ruth S. Campbell, of Hamilton, OH. He is also survived by cousins and friends. George was retired from Western Electric and served in the U.S. Army. He was actively involved with the Boy Scouts of America serving as a scoutmaster and was a member of the Dayton Model Railroad Club. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 28, 2014, at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Road at Grange Hall Road with Reverend Don Payne officiating. Interment will be in Woodland Cemetery in Xenia, Ohio. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service on Friday.
