Lee, as he liked to be called, grew up around Greeley, Kersey and LaSalle. After graduating from LaSalle High, Lee joined the U.S. Air Force. In 1957 he took Naval Corps training at Great Lakes Naval Training Center, Great Lakes, Illinois, and served in The Strategic Air Command. He was the first responder, being on alert teams and as an Emergency Room Medic. Lee was honorably discharged in 1962. He attended UNC in 1965 and received his Master’s Degree in January 1970. He then worked as a Vocational Rehab Counselor before moving back to Colorado after a number of years.
Lee volunteered at Centennial Health Care reading to the residence living there and preached on Sunday mornings. Lee spent his last days in Hospice before going home to his creator. His favorite Hymn was “Amazing Grace”
Lee loved to hunt and fishing was his favorite thing to do.
Lee is survived by his son Casey, his daughter-in-law Jena, daughter Laura and son in law Marc, grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 20 followed by Funeral service both at Calvary Chapel. Inurnment 3:00 p.m., Friday, March 21 at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
