Ken was born in Fort Kent Maine on August 26th 1958, a son of Emelene Dubey and the late Alton Robbins. Ken lived there until he was 5 when his family relocated to the Danbury area.
Kenneth graduated from Danbury High School and received a bachelor’s degree in Education from Western Connecticut State University. He continued his education earning a Masters and 6th year degree in Educational Leadership. He was currently working on his doctoral degree in Education from Western Connecticut State University.
Kenneth was an educator and Administrator with the Danbury Public Schools. He currently was the Assistant principal at Rogers Park middle school.
Kenneth was a devoted, dedicated father to his children. He loved spending time with them traveling often to baseball and soccer tournaments. He was an avid golfer, he loved to read, play guitar and attend concerts.
Ken will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him especially Tommy and Jessica. His intelligence, quick wit and wonderful sense of humor brought joy and happiness to many people. He has touched the lives of many Danbury Students and their families.
Ken is survived by a son: Thomas Kenneth Robbins; a daughter: Jessica Marie Robbins; the mother of his children: Doreen Marie Robbins; his mother: Emelene Dubey; his brothers: Len Robbins and his wife, Catherine and Stan Robbins; his sister: Flo Barton and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received Friday, March 21, 2014 from 3:00pm -7:00pm at the Green Funeral Home 57 Main Street, Danbury. A wake service will be conducted Friday at 6:45 pm in the funeral home. Burial will be private.
