Paul D. Harris, 88, of Fort Smith, passed away Sunday, March 16, 2014. He was born December 5, 1925 in Tarkio, MO to the late Vodrae and Mary Harris. He was the retired owner of Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, after his retirement he was the Land Manager for Six Mile Ranch in Charleston for ten years. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, 32nd Degree Mason, Shriner and Elks Lodge 341. He was an Army Veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Jane Harris and a granddaughter Niki Lynn Carey. Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Friday, March 21, 2014, at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery with Military Honors. Arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home. He is survived by two sons Craig Harris and his wife Debra of Boulder, CO and Scot Harris and wife Michelle of Fort Smith and two granddaughters. Pallbearers will be Rowe Waelder, John Kukar, Neal Pendergraft, Rick Beauchamp, Jerry Glidewell and Eddie French. Honorary pallbearers will be Ernest Eoff, Eldon Pence and Chuck Johnson. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM at the funeral home.
