He was born June 17, 1924 the son of the late Luther and Christine Pfeiffer Kelsay.
On September 13, 1942 he married Betty N Charlton. She preceded him in death on November 19, 1995.
Jr is survived by four daughters, Sue Enloe (James) of Fulton, Kathy Cassels (James), Mary Kay Kemp (JC), Tina Moon (John) of New Bloomfield; one sister Pat Finke of Jefferson City; 9 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, son Larry Kelsay, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
Jr was a graduate of New Bloomfield High School. He was in the United States Army and awarded 2 bronze stars for Central Europe and Rhineland campaigns, he was also awarded a good conduct medal. Jr loved spending time with his family, playing the lottery and going to the casino. He was a farmer and raised cows; he loved to spend time at the Callaway County sale barn. He was a proud 50 year member of Local Union 513; he was a member of the VFW, American Legion and the Odd Fellows. Jr was a lifelong resident of Callaway County.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00, Tuesday, April 1, at Debo Funeral Home in Holts Summit with Rev. Rick Hopkins officiating. Burial will follow in New Prospect Cemetery in New Bloomfield. Family will receive friends Monday evening from 5 until 7 at the funeral home.
