Mary Ann was born in Massachusetts to Joseph and Gloria Amaral on February 21, 1928. She went to San Rafael High School and graduated in 1947. She worked as a Comptroller for Moore McCormack Lines in San Francisco for over 50 years and then worked for Crowley Maritime Corporation in Oakland. She was an active member of Our Lady of Loretto Church and had a passion for prayer especially the Rosary and Chaplet of Divine Mercy. She loved her family, faith, and friends.
Mary Ann is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Gloria Amaral, her brother Joseph Amaral and her sister Eleanor Gladden.
Mary Ann is survived by her nephew Mark Gladden of Healdsburg; nieces Jo Ann Gladden-Cavalli of Pleasanton, Jill Gladden-Garibaldi of San Mateo, Tonja Amaral- Temerowski of Wickenburg, and Sabrina Amaral- Vella of Walnut Creek; and brother in law Elmer Gladden of Santa Rosa.
Visitation will be held at Keaton's Mortuary in Novato on April 6, 2014 from 12:00-3:00pm.
Funeral service will be held at Our Lady of Loretto Catholic Church in Novato on April 7, 2014 at 11:00am with the Rosary at 10:30am. Burial will be held at Mount Olivet Cemetery in San Rafael at 2pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Our Lady of Loretto Church,
