Peoria – Leonard Erlichman, 91, of Peoria, passed away at 12:04 p.m. Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. He was born Sept. 8, 1922 in Peoria to Isadore and Rose (Rosenswiege) Erlichman. He married Armenia Teresa Genovese in Peoria on Jan. 15, 1966. She survives. Also surviving are 4 children, Paula Erlichman of Florida, Patsy (Gregory) Hasty of Peoria, Kathy (Allen) Hodson of California; Joel (Ellen) Erlichman of Inverness; 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Harry Erlichman; and sister, Martha Erlichman Sachs. Leonard was a WWII Army Veteran serving in the 104th Timberwolf Division 104th Quartermaster Company from Nov. 28, 1942 to Nov. 14, 1945. He received the Bronze Star medal citation for meritorious service in connection with military operations in Belgium, Holland and Germany from the 28th of Oct., 1944 to the 30th of April, 1945. He was the co-owner of I. Erlichman Co., Inc. before retiring at the age of 81 in 2004. He was a member of Agudas Achim Synagogue. Funeral Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, April 4, 2014 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. Visitation will be one hour before services at the Chapel. Burial with military honors will follow at Peoria Hebrew Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Peoria Hebrew Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund, or St. Jude Midwest Affiliate.
