Tom was a well-known veterinarian in El Paso who owned the Northeast Veterinary Clinic and Montana Animal Clinic. Tom’s many friends and clients knew him as a kind, intelligent and caring person who loved animals and people alike. He was a very skilled veterinarian who worked with all types of animals including fish, birds and exotics. Tom was named the Companion Animal Practitioner of the Year by the Texas Veterinary Medical Association in the year 2000. This honor singled Tom out as the best companion animal veterinarian in Texas. Tom always had a kind word and gentle manner that appealed to both people and pets. He was also generous with his time, spending over 3 years on the public health board for the City of El Paso as well as many other organizations. He was a wonderful person who will be dearly missed. He is survived by his wife Joyce, son Jason (Elizabeth), grandchildren Jillian and Zachary, siblings Suzi (John) Argiro, Tricia (Tom) Luke, Debby (Steve) Sobey, Jennifer (John) Butler and Mike (Debbie) McCabe, and many nieces and nephews. The family suggests that any memorial contributions be made to the El Paso Humane Society or a favorite animal rescue organization.
