HICKORY – Virginia Evelyn Campbell Bowden, 80, passed away April 20, 2014 at her home after a period of declining health. Virginia was born September 2, 1933 in Lex West Virginia to the late Clyde Campbell and Ella Payne Campbell. She was of the Baptist faith. She retired from Stewart & Warner in Chicago, Illinois. Surviving is a daughter Melvina Bryant of Hickory, a son Stephen Bowden of Richlands, VA; a granddaughter Tracy Brown of Atlanta, GA; grandson Stephen Bowden Jr. of Ohio; six great grandsons, Zachary Bryant, Cody Bryant, Noah Bryant, Braxton Brown, Conner Bowden and Braidon Bryan; a great granddaughter Katie Bowden; two sisters, Louise Robinette of Iaeger, W. VA, Cricket Keaton of Huntington W. VA and a brother J.C. Campbell of War W. VA. A memorial service will be held on Friday April 25, 2014 at 7:00 P.M. at Pentecostal Christian Church in Berwind West Virginia with the Reverend Randy Campbell officating.
