Leslie Garman DeHart, 78, of Louisville passed away Sunday, April 20, 2014 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on September 23, 1935 in Sandy Hook, Kentucky to the late Charles and Lena Stegall DeHart. He was a Veteran in the United States Army and was retired from General Electric. He was a member of Newburg Christian Church and the American Legion.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a sister, Lois Hammer.
He is survived by his loving wife, Doris Bischoff DeHart; two sons, Jeffrey DeHart (Melissa) and Timothy DeHart (Tara); grandchildren, Samantha, Kelsey, Ryan, Alexis and Makayla; siblings, John Paul DeHart (LeAnn), Charles DeHart Jr. (Darlene), Mark DeHart, Madison DeHart (Karen), Betty Caudill (Norwood) and Ann Kellems (Tommy).
A celebration honoring Leslie’s life will be conducted Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at Noon at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-8 at the funeral home.
