Paul was born on January, 23, 1930 in the Bronx, NY to the late John and Ida (Caruso) Guadagno. He graduated from NY College of Music with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He married his beloved wife Margaret Wilson 60 years ago, after they met while both serving in the Army. Paul worked as school teacher and taught at Mount St. Michael Academy and St. Barnabas in the Bronx, NY, Salesian High School in New Rochelle, NY and Don Bosco Preparatory High School in Ramsey, NJ. He was a member of the Thornwood Knights of Columbus Council # 4399 and a parishioner of St. Patrick’s Church in Verplanck, NY. Paul was a kind man; he loved music, teaching and his caring daughters. He will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Paul is survived by his beloved wife Margaret “Peggy” Guadagno; devoted daughters, Paula Guadagno, Fran Ranker and Margaret Zahensky; adoring grandchildren, Anthony Derosa, Michelle Derosa and Michael and Johnny Ranker; adoring great granddaughter, Layla Armiento and predeceased by his caring brother Carmine Guadagno.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 28, 2014 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at the EDWARD F. CARTER FUNERAL HOME, 170 Kings Ferry Rd., Montrose, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Tuesday, April 29th at St. Patrick’s Church in Verplanck. Burial will follow at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Putnam Valley, NY.
