Audrey G. Foote, 73, died Thursday, May 1, 2014 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH.
She was born on September 7, 1940 in Elmont, Long Island, New York, the daughter of the late John Kenz and Florence Harsche Kenz.
She was a merchandiser for American Greetings for many years in Ansonia, Connecticut, and Ludlow.
She was married to David M. Foote, who predeceased her in 2002.
Audrey and David were foster parents for many teenage children, who otherwise would not have had a chance at a normal childhood. They fostered over 100 children over several years.
She was also a member of the Red Hat Society in the time she lived in Ludlow.
Audrey is survived by a daughter April Foote Bortlein and her husband Matthew of Ludlow, granddaughters Amanda, Isabella, and Ava, and grandsons Joshua, Adin, and Trey.
A stepfather, Vincent Zelinsky of Cocoa, Florida
Two brothers, John Kenz of Boise, Idaho, and Vincent Zelinsky Jr. of Stratford, Connecticut.
She loved her shelties, Buttons and Teddy.
Calling hours will be at the United Church of Ludlow on Saturday, May 10,2014, at 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 2. Burial will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery in Ludlow.
