Joyce Kay Hack, 67, of Evans, died Sunday, May 11, 2014 at North Colorado Medical Center. Joyce was born on October 9, 1946 in Sterling, Colorado to Marvin George and Elaine Elizabeth (Hradecky) Naggatz.
Joyce grew up in northeastern Colorado. In 1967, she moved to Minnesota, where she worked for Honeywell. In 1982, she moved to Greeley and then Evans and worked for Kodak of Colorado. She was currently working for ATA Retail as a merchandiser.
Joyce married Ed Loetscher, they later divorced. She married James Anderson in Minnesota. They were married for 15 years. He was a police officer and was killed in the line of duty. She married James “Jim Bob” Hack on March 30, 1983 in Las Vegas, Nevada at the Moonlight Chapel.
Joyce was a member of Women of the Moose at Greeley/Evans Moose Lodge, No. 909 and she volunteered and was active in MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving). Joyce enjoyed quilting, scrapbooking, woodworking and many other crafts. She also enjoyed camping and loved to cook, bake and entertain. Above all, she loved time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Joyce is survived by her husband, James “Jim Bob” Hack of Evans; three daughters, Lori Fanning (Dennis) of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Sasha Hack of Fairbury, Illinois and Dionne Darnell (Kevin) of Greeley; four sons, Scott Loetscher of Evans, David Downey of Cheyenne, Tim Anderson and Douglas Hack (Amanda Sweet) all of Evans; two sisters, Jeanette Chappell of Greeley and Kathy Uittenbogaard (Harley) of Windsor; nine grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Brian Anderson, two infant brothers, Richard and Stanley and a very dear friend, Kevin Risk.
Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 noon Saturday, May 17, 2014 followed by Celebration of Life at 12:00 noon at Stoddard Funeral Home.
