Rosemary was born and raised in Bemidji, Minnesota, daughter of Manville and Mary Dennig Reff.
She was one of 6 children with one sister Charlotte Sievek remaining in Onamia, Minnesota .
She is also survived by two daughters Laurie Richardson (Bud) and Linda Warvie (Carl), granddaughters
Dana Cooper, Debbie Hall (Robert), Donna Herbert(Jeff), great granddaughters Samantha, Emily and Erika Hall, Skylar Cooper, and many loved nieces , nephews and friends.
She followed the love of her life Bud to California in 1941 and was married for 59 years before he passed away in 2001. She raised her family in Lynwood, Calif. and often talked about the wonderful times with the neighbors who were like family for 30 years. It really was a “Beaver Cleaver” setting.
In 2002 she moved to Auburn from Oceanside, Ca. to be closer to her daughter Laurie and her husband Bud. Prior to her husband’s death, they traveled to Auburn many times to enjoy It’s beauty. They experienced many happy times catching salmon on the Sacramento River.
She loved to play cards, camp at Bass Lake, travel and many trips to the casino.
She was able to travel to Europe twice loving the different cultures and its beauty. She would often tell us she was making sure she could remember the beauty by standing in the same place staring at The Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris or some other magnificent wonder.
Life has become very difficult for her in the last couple of years. She would often say that just getting up was a challenge.
She knows that her husband, parents, family and friends will be greeting her in Heaven.
Her Catholic faith was extremely important in her life. It was a very sad day for her when she could no longer attend Mass each week at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic church. The wonderful ladies from St. Teresa’s brought her communion twice a week and prayed with her until her final days.
There will be a memorial mass at Mission San Luis Rey in Oceanside, Ca. at a later date where she will then join the love of her life once again. We all know she is in Heaven free from pain enjoying all the beauty once again.
