Former San Bernardino resident, Dorothy Jean Johnson "Pepper" was born on July 22, 1940 and passed away on May 31, 2014. She was born to the parents of the late Ida Mae Baldwin of Clarksville, Texas and the late William McKinley Duncan of Perris, Texas. She was the youngest of 10 children born to this union and was preceded in death by 5 sisters and 2 brothers, Vera Mae Caesar, Charlene Hughes, Clarice Pearson "Red", Onnie Bell Wiggins, Betty Jean Williams, Delbert Duncan "Pete" and Marhtheo Duncan. She is survived by 1 brother, McKinley Duncan "Nick".
Pepper attended and graduated form Santa Barbara High School in Santa Barbara, Ca in 1957. In 1958 she married William Howard Johnson who preceded her in death in 1988. This union bore 3 sons, Derrell Johnson, Carlos Johnson and Anthony Johnson, and 1 daughter, Torrie Johnson.
She worked as a nurse for over 15 years at St. Bernardine's hospital. She was an active member in her church and active in the lives of her children and grandchildren. Pepper has 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren who love and adored her until her passing and beyond.
During her life here on earth, Pepper aways had a way of making those around her laugh and feel loved. She was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt nurse and friend to many that will miss her dearly and treasure her memory forever.
