Thomas Francis Brink, of North Salem, NY, formerly of Yonkers, NY, passed away peacefully at his home on June 12th, 2014, after a brave battle with cancer. He was born in Yonkers on March 31, 1937 to Frederick Brink and Anna (Meade) Brink. Thomas graduated from Gorton High School in Yonkers. He married Rose Mary Howley on March 13, 1957 at St. Bartholomew’s Church in Yonkers. Thomas was a member of the Yonkers Police Department and a Medal of Honor recipient. He retired on February 12, 1981 and owned and operated Tom Brink’s Moving & Storage until 2012. Thomas attended mass daily at St. Lawrence O’Toole Catholic Church in Brewster, NY. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, friend and neighbor. Thomas is survived by his brother, Henry J. (Eileen) Brink, Atlanta, GA; Sister-in-law Rita (Buddy) Wind, Thornwood, NY; his five loving children: Colleen (Dr. Neal) Junck, Tempe, AZ; Ann Marie (David) Beers, Carmel, NY; Thomas (Tina) Brink, Newry, N. Ireland; William Brink, Brewster, NY; Rose (Tony) Frith, Easley, SC and his many cherished grandchildren and great- grandchildren. Thomas was predeceased by his one and only love, Rose Mary (Howley) Brink and his adored grandson, Christopher J. Brink. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Thomas on Tuesday, June 17th @ 11:00am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Yonkers with interment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Yonkers.
