Jessene Ridling Rowlett, 86, passed away on July 16, 2014. Jessene was born on March 17, 1928 in Quitman, Arkansas. She worked a farm with her three sisters. Married to Quinton Eugene Rowlett on March 2, 1946, they had three sons. Jessene pursued a college education and received her Master's in Education. She taught elementary school for 32 years retiring in 1993. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, gardening and taking walks. She was a pastor's wife for many years and along with her husband, started several home mission churches in Arkansas. They moved to California in 1961 and continued to be involved in church programs. Jessene was preceded in death by her husband Quinton; grandson, Teddy and sister, Willadean Livingston. She is survived by her three sons, Bill, Ted and Jimmy Rowlett; daughters-in-law Anita and Debbie Rowlett; her sisters, Audenese Cook and Edith Gifford, six grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held from 3-7 pm on Monday, July 28th 2014 at the Frisbie-Warren and Carroll Mortuary located at 809 California Street, Stockton, CA.
Graveside service will be held at 10 am on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at Cherokee Memorial Park in Lodi, CA.
