Roy was born in New York City, a son of R. June (Percy) Salamone of Rhinebeck, NY and the late Clifford Enright. He was attended New York schools and served with the US Army stationed in Germany.
At the time of his death, Roy was a Tool & Die Maker with Barden Corporation in Danbury, where he had been employed for the past 46 years. A Danbury resident for over 40 years, Roy was a member of St. Peter Church in Danbury. Roy was a devoted and deeply committed grandfather.
Besides his wife of 43 years and mother, survivors include his daughters: Susan Enright-Alves and her husband, Victor, of Danbury and Samantha Enright of Danbury. His grandchildren: Nicara, Shelby and Victor, Jr. His mother-in-law: Nancy Currier of Danbury. His Brother: Anthony Salamone and his wife, Maggie, of Red Hook, NY. His brother-in-law: Alan Currier and his wife, Karen, of Bethel. His sister-in-law: Wendy Finkle and her husband, Chris, of Danbury and Lynn Cleary of Danbury. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10:30am at St. Peter Church, Danbury with the Rev. Gregg Mecca, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury.
