Hampton "Hank" Webster, born April 6, 1922 in Calloway, VA died on Sunday, August 3 at the age of 92. He came to Baltimore to work at Martins Aircraft during World War II. He then worked at Bendix Radio as a Field Engineer. He also worked on the NASA antennas that tracked the Apollo missions. He was stationed in South America, the South Pacific and the Western United States. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family, his favorite passtime was playing pool, watching the Baltimore Orioles and Ravens.
Hampton was preceeded in death by his parents, Charles Thomas Webster and Dove Anna Webster (nee Saul); his wife, Irma Eichelberger Webster (nee Kelly); and his brothers, Marvin, Carl, Ernest, Rufus and Cyrus Webster. He is survived by his daughter, Patricia Vinciguerra and her husband Thomas, his son, Steven Webster and his wife Audrey; two grandchildren, Adam Vinciguerra and Melissa Webster Goldman. Hank is also lovingly survived by Helen Webster Hilditch.
The family will receive friends in the LEMMON FUNERAL HOME OF DULANEY VALLEY INC., 10 W. Padonia Road (at York Road) Timonium, MD 21093 on Saturday, August 9, 12noon to 2pm at which time a Celebration of Life will be held. Following the viewing, a Service will be held 2:00-2:45. A graveside service will be held at Oaklawn Park Cemetery, 5000 County Road, Sanford, FL 32771 on Wednesday, August 13 at 11am. Throughout his life, Hank had a huge passion for Baltimore sports teams. In honor of this, the family will be wearing Baltimore Orioles and Baltimore Ravens attire at the viewing and service to follow. Friends are welcome to join in and share his passion by wearing Baltimore sports attire as well.
