Our father was born May 2, 1920 in the little town of Max Bass, North Dakota, passed away August 14, 2014. He and his brother moved to Washington in the late 1930's. He joined the Army during WWII, upon his return to Tacoma, Wash. he married our mother, Gladys. They made the journey to Marysville in the late 40's where they raised a family. James was a builder in the Marysville area, and retired from the plasters union. He leaves behind is wife of 74 years, Gladys. He also leaves behind his three children: Carolyn Brashler and her husband, Lee, Rodney Elvrom and his wife, Cindy, and Randy Elvrom and his wife, Diane; plus many grandchildren. At our Fathers request there will be no funeral services. There will be a family gathering at a later date. Our father was always there for all of us, a great man. Just before he passed explained, "When the bus leaves town I will be on it", when asked where he was going he replied "I will let you know when I get there".
