Mollye Jane Carter Born October 4, 1938 in Kilgore, Texas and went home to meet the Lord on November 23, 2014 in Dallas, Texas at the age of 76. Preceded in death by her parents Bollie Calvin and Nellie Irene Williams, sister Laverne Newton of Blair, Oklahoma, brothers Jack Williams of Longview, Texas, Bollie Junior Williams of Chandler, Texas, Herbert Williams of Malakoff, Texas and Banks Lamar Williams of Joinerville, Texas. Survived by her faithful husband of 58 years John Kenneth Carter, son Robert Lamar Carter and wife Bette Jo, son Vance Edward Carter and wife Cathie, daughter Dana Lynn Carter and husband Gary Lee Hicks, 5 grandchildren Brandon Scott Carter, Cassie Anne Carter, Lindsay Brooke Carter, Tyler Noble Carter and Shelby Lynn Moore, 3 great grandchildren Peyton Noble Warren, Callie Anne Flores and Greyson Alfred Warren, 2 brothers Glenn Williams of Gun Barrell City, Texas and King Neil Williams of Keller, Texas, 3 sisters Billie Nell Holloway of Seagoville, Texas , Wanda Fern Lacy of Garland, Texas and Anne Brewster of San Antonio, Texas and many other family members and friends. Mollye and her family attended Robinwood Baptist Church in Seagoville for over 30 years and was a member of the Seagoville Chamber of Commerce, Seagoville Sunset Lions Club, Seagoville Sports Association, Seagoville Citizen Police Academy, Seagoville Senior Citizens Home and numerous other volunteer activities. She was Woman of the Year on several separate occasions and stood beside her husband as he was the Mayor in Seagoville from 1973-1981. She worked at Southwestern Bell as a long distance operator from 1957 to 1961 when she chose to stay home and raise a family. Family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Tuesday November 25, 2014 at Roselawn. Funeral Services will be 2 PM Wednesday November 26, 2014 at Robinwood Baptist Church with Bro. Jim Everidge officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Seagoville in the Garden of Valley View. In Lieu of flowers please make donations to Robinwood Baptist Church Food Pantry or bring canned goods to the visitation or church.
