Scarborough - Susan "Sue" Michel 58 of Lewiston died Saturday February 14, 2015 at the Gosnell Hospice House following a stroke at her home February 1st. Born in Lewiston the daughter of Roland & Bernice Lamare Michel, she graduated from St. Dominic's High School in the Class of 1974 and attended St. Joseph's College. She was a member of the Prince of Peace Parish at Holy Family Church where she served as Eucharistic Minister, lector and was a former member of the parish council. Sue worked in the Development office at Bates College for the past 30 years and also worked at The Fortin Group Funeral Homes as an attendant. She enjoyed going out to eat with her mom and will be remembered for her strong faith, devotion to her church and caring for her mom after the death of her dad in 1981. She is survived by her mom Bernice Michel of Lewiston, her brother Richard B. Michel of Portland, several close friends and her Bates family. The family wishes to thank Doctors and staff in the Emergency Room at C. M.M. C, the SCU staff of Maine Medical Center in Portland and the staff of the Gosnell Hospice House in Scarborough.
