Born January 29, 1972 in Plattsburgh, New York, he was the son of Lawrence and Dorothy Giddings.
David formerly was employed with International Paper in Statesville, and spent eleven years in the United States Marine Corp.
He loved spending time with his wife and children. They were the joy of his live. He also enjoyed weight lifting, yard work and spending time mentoring area high school football players.
In addition to his parents, those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Ashley Nicole Marcum Giddings; sons, Kori Supernaw, Arren Paul Giddings and David Paul Giddings, Jr; one daughter, Montana Nicole Meade; a special stepdaughter, Victoria Chambers; sisters, Tammie Giddings, Pennie Giddings and Dorothy Dillon and brother, Mark Giddings.
Also surviving are his father-in-law and mother –in-law, Colby and Marlene Marcum; step-sister-in-law, Brianna Crawford and several extended family members and friends.
The family will receive friends Thursday, April 2, 2015 from 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home.
Following the visitation, the funeral service will be held at 7:30 PM in the Westmoreland Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Max Hayes officiating.
Burial will military rites will be held on Friday, April 3, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Salisbury National Cemetery.
