Lester Leon Reagan, 88, a thirty year resident of Rockwall, Texas, passed from this life on May 14, 2015. He was born September 28, 1926 in Sunset, Texas to Walter Lee and Bertha Gustava Singleton Reagan. He married his soul mate, Patty Sue Lewis, on August 6, 1951. The oldest of seven children, he graduated from Boles Home High School in 1942. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army for 26 years, attaining the rank of Lt. Colonel. A Veteran of World War II, Korea, and the Berlin Crisis, he retired from the military in 1965. He subsequently received his BS & MS degrees from East Texas State University and achieved the status of ABD at North Texas State University, finally retiring from E-Systems in 1993. A faithful servant of God, he was a pulpit minister for the Lord’s church for many years, sharing the Gospel with others to the very end. His devotion to his family and love of his many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great- grandchildren was evident to all. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Milton Reagan, one sister Charlene Reagan, one granddaughter Patricia Eakes, and one great granddaughter Heaven Leigh Burleson. He is survived by his wife of almost 64 years, Dr. Patty Lewis Reagan, three children, Kathleen Reagan Marquez and husband Jerry, Randy Leon Reagan and wife Barbara, Karen Reagan Mann and husband John, eleven grandchildren, twenty-nine great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers, Walter Donald Reagan and wife Wanda, Billy Dewayne Reagan and wife Maureen, two sisters, Juanita Reagan King and husband Edward, and Loretta Reagan Mendoza and husband Jesus, many nieces and nephews, and a host of brothers and sisters in Christ. The family will receive guests Friday, May 22, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home, 7405 W Northwest Highway, Dallas, TX. A private Graveside Service is scheduled at Hillcrest Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Medical Research Hospital, Memphis, TN, or Children’s Medical Center, Dallas, TX.
