Constance A. Heusler (nee Joao), a longtime Yonkers resident, died on Saturday February 13, 2016 at St. John’s Riverside Hospital. She was 69 years old. She was born on February 16, 1946 to Delfim and Anna Matis Joao in the Bronx. She was raised and educated in the Bronx and Yonkers and graduated from Commerce High School. Mrs. Heusler was a housekeeper at Manhattan College and for the library at the college for several years prior to her retirement. She was a parishioner of Christ the King Church and enjoyed sewing in her spare time. On November 7, 1970, she married her loving husband, Paul A. Heusler at St. Margaret of Cortona Church in Riverdale. Mr. Heusler survives and lives in Yonkers. In addition to her husband, she is also survived by a son, Delfim of Yonkers. She was predeceased by a brother, Raymond Joao, Sr. Visiting hours will be at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9pm. Funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday February 17th at 10am. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
