Juanita Hargrove, 80, passed away on Friday, September 2, 2016, at her home in Levelland, Texas surrounded by family. Juanita was born June 26, 1936 in Crosbyton, Texas to Raymond and Elva Davis. She established a strong work ethic as a child, working as a migrant worker in Oregon. Throughout her life she worked some odd jobs, was a stay at home mom, and was a manager/assistant manager at Town & Country stores in Levelland for 28 years. Juanita retired from working at the age of 77.
She loved movies, music, jigsaw puzzles, and ELVIS. She knew family was much more important than money, loving her family unconditionally. Juanita had a kind gentle spirit and treated everyone with respect and kindness.
Juanita was preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Elva, as well as her husband of 35 years Lanny Hargrove. She is survived by daughters, Jeannie Stinson and husband Mike of Edmonson; Jana Garnett and husband Doug of Denver City; Shannon Morris and Randy Houck of Amarillo; sons, Jimmy Hartley and wife Janice of St. Peters, Missouri; Shane Hargrove and wife Lori of Fairmont, Minnesota; brother, Eddie Davis and wife Pat of Sommerville, South Carolina; three nieces; 10 grandchildren and 9 great grand children.
A celebration of life service to honor Juanita was held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 6, 2016, at Cactus Drive Church of Christ in Levelland.
