Pattie was born March 3, 1951, in Kirksville, MO, to Pete and Dorothea (Duehren) Ransom. The first born of 6 children, Pattie was raised in St. Joseph, MO and graduated from Bishop LeBlond High School in 1969. She was very artistic and creative, and it showed in everything she did. Pattie loved to travel, decorate, search family history, and see whatever kind of Broadway show she could. New York was one of her favorite places to visit. She was a fiercely independent woman but her true passion was her family, especially her 9 nieces and nephews who she treated as if they were her own. She was their Fairy Godmother in every way.
Pattie worked in the insurance industry for over 40 years, the last 30 at Cretcher-Heartland, retiring 2015.
Pattie was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents and forever in the hearts of her siblings Jim (Angie) Ransom, Tom (Dianne) Ransom, Peggy (Gary) Heatwole, Mary (Don) Broschart, Jane (Randy) Hinkle and her adored “kids” Tyler and Mark Ransom, Logan and Blake Heatwole, Sam, Sadie, Spencer and Schafer Broschart , and Callie Wyrsch. Pattie will also be sorely missed by her step-nephews Patrick (Liz) Hinkle, Peter (Mallory) Hinkle and honorary sister Carla Duryee.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the American Heart Association Go Red for Women.
